William R. Ochwat
President and Owner of The Armageddon Group. Bill has over 30 years of experience in the trade show industry. Starting as a teenager with Andy Frain Services, he rapidly worked his way up to Convention Manager for Frain. He later went on to serve as Manager of Operations for Armageddon/AMK under the ownership of the Adelsick family. Bill also worked for over 8 years in security for MPEA, the authority which oversees McCormick Place and Navy Pier. In 2011, Bill became the owner of the combined Armageddon/AMK companies. In addition to his ownership of The Armageddon Group, Bill is a security consultant and floor manager on a number of shows. During his 30 years in the trade show industry, Bill has developed and overseen security operations for many of the largest and most prestigious trade and public shows in Chicago. Bill is a lifelong Chicagoan, an unrepentant White Sox fan and the proud father of two sons. He has also been known to personally deliver a security container on occasion to a client!
Edward J. Rake
Managing Director, Trade Shows for The Armageddon Group. Ed was with BIS Systems, Inc., one of the largest and most successful trade show security companies in Chicago, from its founding in 1989 through 2006 During that time he worked as a supervisor, Vice President Operations and finally president of the company. For the last ten years with the company he was also an ownership partner. During his time at BIS he put together security plans and oversaw security operations for some of the largest trade and public shows in Chicago. Ed joined Armageddon in 2013. He works with clients to develop security plans for their events and is onsite throughout the actual event to oversee our performance and act as a liaison to clients.
Bernadette Otrembiak
Director of Administrative Services for The Armageddon Group. Bernie has been with Armageddon since 1984. Among her many responsibilities are scheduling, payroll and preparing invoices. While too modest to say it herself, Bernie is the key to the day-to-day internal operations of The Armageddon Group.
Kevin Beasley
Account Manager for The Armageddon Group. His trade show security career began in 1986 at the Georgia World Congress Center. After relocating to Chicago in 1991, Kevin worked for Kane Services as a shift supervisor for trade shows throughout the Chicago area. He also worked for MPEA, the authority which governs McCormick Place and Navy Pier, as a security officer.
